cam cover seal

Hi. I'm about to replace my cam cover with a new part. How do you keep the flexible seal in the grooved on the cover when you invert it? It is supposed to be a dry seal I am told.

Just add the slightest smear of red rubber grease to hold it in place. Still easy to crimp though !!!
