That one, bottom left, that you've arrowed,  check the other end of that as it could be the battery earth strap.
Yes...that goes to the battery...
I think I'd better wheel her up the road to the bike shop in the morning?

If these are no good, I have a CB550/4 here that is easier to get at, even though the solenoid is in a different place, I think the wiring will be the same.....it is also a newly restored bike, so clean 😁😁😁

Hi Julie...so what i see is the battery positive going to the terminal with the green wire...and the other TWO cables going to the terminal with the yellow ?

On the 550 there are two connections on ONE of the solenoid studs. One is the heavy duty cable from the battery (+ve) and the other is the main +ve connection that supplies all other bike electrics. The +ve connection is taken from here rather than running another lead back to the +ve terminal of the battery.
I do not know if the 400 is the same. If in doubt then get it checked as the circuit to here is NOT fused.

Seabeowner is correct, one of the leads goes back to the starter motor, this goes by itself on the green terminal. The others are both positive leads, one goes back to the positive side of the battery and the other is the positive feed for the loom, these both go on the same yellow terminal. If in doubt as to which is which, follow the leads to see where they lead, should be simple to figure out which is which.
In the end that's all I needed to know, it secured the job for me. I still braced myself when I hit the button though! As I was finishing the job I saw a movement out he corner of my eye, one of the courtyards squirrels I'm building up trust with was sniffing around my tool bag!

Make sure the squirrels don't start chewing on your bike or storing nuts in it!  :(

There’s something wrong with that squirrel. We get them there black ones in our garden.
