Stafford Show

Always go ...dunno why sometimes but my son drives me there as a belated Fathers days pressy and pays to get in so a bit of 'father son bonding' with Jonno &  my dodgy mate Roger comes too.

Bloke there with 4 fully restored 400/4's in the almost  £6k price range.

Talked to a guy from the NE with Black 4/71 CB500K0 and took pics attached.. He wanted around £5.5k for it.

Found a lovely repro CB750K0 early short -style chainguard for £30 and looks really good quality ...by brother of lady who now runs LPM (Martyn)... Bet Trigger & Julie  know him!

It is Kaz (Karen, Martins sister) at LPM that we buy from. The most helpful, funny and accommodating lady you could ever have the pleasure to do business with. Excellent products and service too, spot on every time.

The USA CB500K0 never came in black  ;)

I hate places like Stafford, see something interesting buried in a box, dig it out and ask how much. The seller will come back with £40, and then i ask, what is it ? I love the look on there face as they don't have a clue  :o

I always enjoy the trip/visit to the 'Stafford' show, not too far from Manchester.
Very nice CB750 on the VJMC stand (as image) restoration by Karen Wicks...? not sure I got the last name correct? but, the bike was spot-on.

Just back from Stafford here myself. A couple of very nice 750’s (including the one in BigAl’s pic above), a few very nice RD’s and a handful of very nice Zed’s and a couple of nice “kettles” but Mrs Allington had a very tight hold of the credit card :(

The weather there today was terrible so only really got time to spend a while in the GP Paddock area for a bit but to loosen my ear wax. It was the most interesting part (for me anyway) and a brief walk around the one or two interesting stands outside (and the plethora of utter crap) while most of them were packing up mid afternoon so had a truly terrible bone dry roast pork (at least pork coloured sawdust) roll and came home.

Karen Wicks had the bike restored for her recently. She has owned it from new.
