Tanks, Pipes
« on: March 24, 2008, 09:46:23 AM »
Hi all,
I'm after some good ideas/ info on alloy tanks. Prices, what else fits, pics etc. Any info greatfully appreciated
Also for pipes. Mine came with 350 pipes, but they are worse for wear. Headers fine, but tail pipes not worth saving. Has anyone successfully cut off the tail pipes and fitted a nice pair of, or four short meggas, or have you any pics of any?

Sorry, forgot to mention, it's a 1975 400/4

Many thanks

Hi there Biffta

Can you remember the name of the company that he bought it from? I don't fancy getting bitten!
Many thanks

After speaking with the people who made the tank, I think it was just a communication breakdown thing between people via email and the end result was a tank that never fitted. I

Many thanks Dave
I would love used if i can find one ::) Fat chance, but who knows!
I have a little engineering place in Newark i need to ring, they supplied my seat unit and rear guard, and race prep 350's, although they prepare all sorts of stuff.

Thanks for the info and link though, I'll have loads more questions before it's finished ;D, ie, smallest gel battery i can put under the seat hump and still run lights and indicators, and where to buy from????? Any ideas?

Cheers
Steve

Found a company that can supply some nice looking pipes, www.exactrep.com
They do a race rep that can be baffled for the 400/4. Has anyone used them before?
