400/4 Tank: need filler cap clasp.
« on: April 20, 2008, 06:39:48 PM »
I "came by" this at the Kempton Park Autojumble last week, but it needs a filler cap clasp (as shown)

Any ideas anyone?

MS adds "(small)" onto the end of the filename when you resize the picture.

I can't generally be arsed to change it back...    8)

You could try 'On All Fours' John 01142 889465. He deals in just 400f parts new and used. He has a 'day job' so after 6pm is best. I would think there's a very good chance he can sort you out.

I'm new on here, registerd on the 'other' site and was spotted by eagle-eyed Steve (within 24 hours) who sent me a P.M. Somehow he had even worked out who I was, must have given something away! Had my present 400f for 20 years, in fact I first had one in 1980, that was stolen and another one replaced it a couple of years later. It's a '75 and a clean original example. It's fairly safe to say there's not much I don't know these bikes after 28 years of ownership, yes I'm old! I was an engineer so if it's broke I'll find some way of mending it what ever it is. A few other bikes in the garage, BMW, Trumph, and a Velo. One under the stairs a CB160, restored to show condition, that's why it's in the house! Get some side-ways looks from neighbours if they happen to see if imerge from the front door but who cares!

Welcome from another long time 400 owner, I'm up north.
