Sounds horrendous, but it will be worth it in the end.

Do exactly as Nurse Julie said.. you will understand in a few days :)
And be nice to the Nurses... they control your medication :)

Hopefully the pain goes away quickly.. Ice packs for 20 minutes at a time if you can bear them and make sure you do the Physio.. you will be back in the saddle in no time

Just made the night shift happy by pissing in a bottle. How goods that.  Not laxatives have been offered yet.
Thanks all for the best wishes.

Seems like your sense of humour is still good. Get well soon.
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

Keep moving it and keep taking the pain killers so you can keep moving it, that way the pain subsides quicker as the healing is quicker. And keep doing the anti clotting injections (or whatever they are)

I had mine fitted on a Monday and was in the pub on Friday dinnertime. No words of praise are enough for our fantastic NHS. Its the envy of the world, long may it continue, and long may it be funded PROPERLY.

Day 2 first thanks for all the good wishes All last night not a wink of sleep the pain in my lower leg not the area of the op was, was terrible. Physio came this morning to get me up and walking. Everything fantastic to cries of well done that was really great. Then they sat me down. Two minutes later I passed out and pissed myself and then threw up. I really must try and stop all this attention seeking. The afternoon was the same only throwing up after taking the strong painkillers.

Well done, the worse part is over now Moorey. Your experiences today are not uncommon, unpleasant for you, but not uncommon. A better day for you tomorrow I'm sure.

Bloody drama queen  ;D ;D ;D

As Nurse Julie says, all normal. I did the same apart from pissing myself, I couldn't piss at all after the epidural so had catheter fitted. Nice!  :-\

Next week you'll be well on the road to full recovery.
