They don't seem to list the 500 anymore, is it cos the 550 is the same for most parts?

Thanks for the link Trigger, parts I need where do I start, first get those gears replaced as  in previous post +many others associated with a rebuild
We have a brand new bare cyl head and barrel which we bought many yrs ago which we are considering
using depending on cost to equip them but that's further down the road

You have everything to build up a bare head, the valves can be re raced and you already have the springs. How bare ?
You have the pistons, just a set of rings needed. As long as it has liners at STD fitted.

Yes I suppose I can go down that route or a mix of old and new as far as I remember the head has nothing except ex studs, it's in the loft somewhere the cyl barrel is complete ready for fitting
