I keep a collection of all the old random homeless keys to try. Often one of unknown origins fit, for instance one off a filing cabinet fitted a caravan which had come with no key, worked for years. Otherwise could be easyer to replace the locks. or you can send the old lock to a specialist locksmith who can sometimes make a key to fit unnumbered locks. Replacement would be what I'd go for as getting a new key cut still leaves you with an untested ignition switch and the can go wrong, I had a bike which kept turning itself off via the key on the motorway on my way back from Scotland, Fun coul be one way to describe that :D
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock
