K1 Headlight Ears Removal

Hi Folks,

I'm looking at the best way to remove the K1's headlight ears and bowl for painting - I've seen threads where the forks have been removed but wondered whether removing the upper triple clamp is an alternative method.

Grateful for advice.

Four bolts and remove speedo cable and the forks are out.
Good excuse to give it all a  good clean at the same time then

Thanks for the advice, off with the forks it is then - that'll definitely be a winter job!
