CB750 K7 lower handlebars (european standard)
« on: February 20, 2019, 10:01:49 AM »
I have genuine US model of K7, means higher handlebars.
These are too high for me, would like to fit lower, like european K7 models had.

I did not find any good stock ones for sale, so looking for aftermarket.
Can somebody recommend good aftermarket ones? I'm sure it fits from other CB models, but dont know from which.
Was checking DSS and CMSNL but did not find clear reference to aftermarket alternative...

K7 has cables routed on outside of bars, so no holes needed. Concerning width, I'd like the same as stock or wider, definitely not narrower.

Just add
I found meanwhile on DSS 2 types of european handlebars:
- for CB750 K2 : FDBAA-300-610P https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB750K2-FOUR-1972/part_188998/
- for CB750 K6 : FDBAA-390-620P https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB750K6-FOUR-1976/part_188997/

Enybody knows the difference? Raise hight / width / holes?...

The 300 are 750 with holes and the 390 are 550 F bars with holes. Because you don't have the problem of running wire inside, you can use any aftermarket bars.

These are nearly identical to the european bars but, no holes >>> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Handlebar-7-8-Chrome-2-50-Rise-Each/112136486906?hash=item1a1bdafffa:g:nu8AAOSwE9Bbs6ab:rk:11:pf:0

I will get Julie to show you a pic with them on her 550  ;)

These are 7/8" with a 2.5 inch rise. I can get a closer photo tomorrow if it helps.

Would prefer to buy from dss or cmsnl as I'm going to place bigger orders to them anyway to share shipping

Both are 28" across. If you are going to order from Sliver the closest with no holes will be the CB550 K3 UK. But, I have never tried them on a  K7. Is there enough clearance for the throttle cables to miss the tank on full lock ?

I do not know this, I have only US bars... That's why I'm asking.

But in principle, I suppose I can use any 750 bars, even with holes, no?
