Thanks Kevin

HiFlo are what we fit to every SOHC engine / bike as standard. Be wary as some places on fleabay charge stooopid money for them.

Thanks Julie,

Found 2 x Hiflo 401 for £8:60 delivered, seems reasonable.

Regards, Kevin

What is the difference between hi-flow & genuine Honda filters?
Sean.

One comes in a packet and is a creamy yellow colour (Honda) and the other comes in a box and are red (Hiflo)......oh and the price, there's a difference there too  ;D

But no difference in performance or reliability?

If there was any difference in performance or reliability we wouldn't fit them to our own bikes and most certainly wouldn't fit them to customers engines.

I don't know how you would be able to tell.... just avoid anything that is dirt cheap off ebay or from an unknown source, stick to the mainstream suppliers and you should be ok.

I personally stick with genuine parts.
Cos years ago. There was rumours of pattern filters breaking up.
I am in no way suggesting this is the case with Hiflo.
But as a rule I only use genuine parts wherever possible
Whatever the marque.
Yam its parts are particularly crap.
