Registration service...
« on: March 06, 2019, 07:41:27 PM »
Hi guys...and gals
A few months back...could be years now I read in a classic bike magazine about a guy who will undertake your v5 application for you..and who has a very good hit rate ...

Anyone know who this could be..???

I have a rather frustrating issue with an old norbsa that has lost its v5.

I have 2 mot's and 2 insurance certificates ..from 60's /70's
But none of the documents have both vin and reg number just one or the other
DVLA say I will need to go through the whole dating process which I find bizarre as all documents were legal at the time of issue...

I'm hoping someone who knows the process inside out may be able to shed some light on it...

Dvla Arse and elbow etc

Someone was advertising their services on the VJMC Fartbook page last year Jason. Maybe worth asking on there.

Why not just go through the dating process? It will cost you £30 through the vjmc.....

Could you put it through an mot with all data you have to get it on current system? Then apply for V5.

Normandy motorcycles for mot maybe.

Vjmc won't be interested in my norbsa...
I've done it before when I've had no paperwork..last one was a cl72 that was imported very early on to UK so no nova .that was a pain but all went well in the end..

I have documentation from years back with reg and vin numbers so feel I shouldn't have too

Yes you’re probably right.... I bet the vmc will date it but they are much more expensive... around £80 for members and even more for non-members.... and slow since they are a bit old-school..

For Rob's benefit,  Normandy motorcycles are a really old skool bike shop that have been there for years.  Anyone near them has probably used them at one time or other.

Located at Normandy nr Guildford (not France)  and just round the corner from a crossroads named Christmas Pie, I kid you not  :)
