Ahh, thought it seemed a bit unusual...he seems to have a great reputation on here with most folk... he’s probably stacked out with jobs.
Yes I think he is. He told me he was rushing to get all the UK work done and out the door in time for #@%$ day. Concerned about what could happen to the post and customs afterwards. So I am hopeful the wait will be over by the end of the month.

I've never had anything but excellent results from Dream Machine over the years and very good pricing. Turn round has always been 8 to 10 weeks and on time, but I do drop off and pick up even though I believe they have their own pickup and delivery service.

Sounds interesting, what sort of prices are we talking about at Dream Machine. I was put off them a few years ago with reports of sky high prices so never looked into them. What are they like at other things like weld repairs and tank lining?

Every job is different isn't it. They do a lot of trade work so have to be on the ball. The price for all 13 pieces on the Cd175 including blasting was cheaper than I could find any local painter to do it for and I knew the results would be good. Best bet as always is to talk to them yourself. As you know there are plenty who say they can get a transit painted for £200, but you wouldn't want done. Good paint does not come cheap I do know that.

A virtual acquaintance of mine just had CB750/4 tank and panels done in a candy colour by Dream Machine and it cost £1200 (I don't know what state the tank was in) and they attached the Honda wings on the side panels the wrong way round 😏😏😏

At that price they wouldn't be doing any more work for me. It would seem there is always a lot more to what a lot of people tell you or don't tell you.
I have just rung Dream Machine for a quote for my 750f for painting tank, tank flap, 2 panels and tail piece all in original colours. Antares red for tank, tail piece, dark grey for the panels and tank flap.
Quote £680+ vat. That I can live with knowing the results I have had in the past.
Royhall how would that quote suit you, its a far cry from £1200.

I bought my set from Menno EG: tank and side panels with chrome strip & all clips for logos and it was not £1200!!  it wasnt a million miles away from £680 plus vat which takes it to £800 also there are no decals on mine its all painted on , so given i got tank ,panels, postage  and a cracking paint job & looking at other prices i think i got a good deal.

I am in no way knocking what Menno does or his prices as I do not know them. All his work looks extremely good. It was more about the risks of postage and pointing out other options. Others have told me Dream Machine are ridiculously dear but they have never contacted them and they just go off at least 3rd party tales.
I don't know if others have ever been to DM but its no small operation and must turn out a lot of work just to cover costs.

That's more like it. I will check out Dream Machine before getting any more painting done.

I've used a company called 'Cycle Sprays' before. He's based near Guildford. He's very, very good, quality of work is beyond question and he keeps to agreed price and timescales. I paid £550 for a CB400/4 tank and the two side panels. Piki supplied the decals and these were not included in the paint cost. The tank had a couple of minor dents and was in a rough primer.
I was more than happy with the work and price but....... I used Menno for the CB250RSA paintwork (Piki again supplied the decals directly to Menno). Menno's work is outstanding for the price AND he cleans the inside of the tank and also he sprayed the pinstripes on the tank and didn't use decals as per Honda original. The quality of his work is the best I have ever seen. He's respraying the cockpit fairing at the moment.
