Didn't know it was that hard to get hold of but I do now.  :-[ OK folks, in that case I have another idea but could do with a little help. Can anyone tell me please:

What's it made of, is it a rigid plastic or flexible?
Does anyone know for sure if it's ABS, PVC or polypropylene?
What are the dimensions of the material in the outer band. Just the height and thickness.

I think I can make one of those out of black plastic strip and weld the ends together.

The surround is semi hard plastic, the gauze is wire mesh glued in with adhesive that turns a yukky yellowy-brown. ... I did have a couple of spare tool trays complete with those in that I bought from Japan. Think they  sold between 35-40 quid so that's what I think they will cost if you find one. Very rare to get the gauze assembly for sale separately to the tool tray.

Been looking for a while now Ash with no luck. There is one on Ebay from Canada, with a starting bid of £25.00 and £25.00 postage.  ::) I estimate I can make one for less than a fiver.  ;)

It should be quite easy using flat PPE of the right height and thickness. Weld the ends together and run a lip around the top. Mastic some stainless mesh in and job done. I just need the height and thickness of the plastic and hole size for the mesh, if someone could be so kind please.

If I had one Jason I'd have refurbished it. It doesn't look hard to do, just buy some replacement mesh, remove the old and mastic the new in. There are a couple of vids around that show you how.
