« on: March 19, 2019, 06:03:13 PM »

My dads finding his Triumph to heavy now and quit fancies it.
The engine has been rebuilt and done less then 850 miles since, New tank, New pipes and new front mudgaurd
He bought it of someone in Ipswich that restores Hondas apparently. But couldn't remember who of the top of his head
Whats it worth?

Nice 400 SD went for around £1400 on Fleabay couple weeks ago,lot of rubbish around ie not original as claimed, pay more for a 400 than the more common 250.They’re starting to creep up a bit in value I sold a mint 8,000 mile 250 couple years ago for £1500.David Silvers in Ipswich?

I wouldn’t mind a 400 SD myself, wouldn’t want to pay more than £1500 for one though.Have a butchers on the SD forum friendly bunch and lots of knowledge
Just looked at pictures and it’s a kickstart/early model worth bit more,I don’t think it should have reflectors on the headlight ears usualy reflector on downtube that holds cables too, looks fairly original see if it has the original Honda exhaust collector box or has it a cheap box section or cheap replica that are all over Fleabay at mo could be pattern exhaust?

Yes I agree,it’s been looked after and won’t take much to get it back to original.I like the Superdreams for some strange reason but would realy like a 400 Dream
