Identify this 750
« on: April 02, 2019, 08:58:30 PM »
Pretty new to this game so racking brains here. Hope you don't mind  :-[

This has caught my eye, liking the squarer style tank.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDwWdXDZzcE&feature=youtu.be

Am I right if I say its an F0 or F1? The video title says CB750K 1975 but I am confused as I thought the K models had the rounded tank with exposed filler. Also has rear disc.

Or is it a 75 K with more modern parts?

Interested in your views  :)

Thanks

Just noticed looks like Davefirestorm's model

I love mongrels  ;D
They are the future.
Todays mongrel is tomorrows Cockapoo, Labradoodle, Springadoor and Bullshit  :)
Of course those mongrels of yesterday now sell for more than the purebreds of today  :)

Can't see any F0 or F1 parts in that vid, frame is a modified K and the tank is from a F2  ;)

Hi, the chap is from Brazil. He is speaking Portuguese. I tried to get Google to translate but he is far too quick and the video is a little muffled, some did work with a translate app I downloaded.

Looks like the tank is from  a 750F and I have to question why he would modify a K series frame then fit a rear disc and tank from an F series.

https://www.motorcycleclassics.com/classic-japanese-motorcycles/honda-cb750f-super-sport

Reading down there is some info to confirm, could it be a modified F? Either way its great to be learning about this iconic model and engaging with current or previous owners  :)

As i said, The tank is a F2, they are different than a F1 if you look close enough  ;)

Why take a K frame and put other parts on ! That is what he had laying around or that was the look he wanted  :o

Fantastic, how can you tell it's a K frame? Is there an obvious feature?
I will start trawling the web to see tank differences.
Thanks for sharing knowledge. :)
