"Homemade" CB400f rearsets

(1/2) > >>

Hi all, new to the forum, amazing amount of information here!

Ive got a 1975 cb400f which someone had started a cafe racer build on. Ive done a few bits and peices (weld in rear hoop, install clip ons, custom top yoke etc)

Anyway ive been making some rearsets, only finished the mounting bracket so far. Took some video of the machining and installation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5kGMLmpVHk&t=1s

Now, i consider myself relatively smart, but this has got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever done, welded the bracket  mount upside down.....

Nurse Julie:
Welcome to the upside down world of the CB400/4. I have put plenty of bits on upside down over the years but only bolted, not welded 😀😀😀😀

I didnt even realise until i welded on the other side, and wondered why they weren't lined up with each other. Good thing i didnt do them both upside down or i might have never noticed
