Dynamo Cover Removal

Hi All, i want to polish my Dynamo Cover & may be answering my own question but want some clarification , to remove do i just
remove the 4 outer screws & then the 3 inner screws around the coil and slide the coil out .

3 screws hold inner coil from outside and 3 hold outer coil from inside.

Cheers Bryan, how do you get at the 3 outer that are behind the Honda name plate .

You have to push the pins VERY carefully out of the clips, i believe there are small holes in the castings you can see inside the cover.

Big hint DO NOT kick or use the electric start with the generator cover off or you will shoot the oil gallery plug to somewhere you will not find it and get a large slippery patch on the floor!!!

Small holes in the rear and tap gently and evenly  ;)

Get paint removed using paint removal (water based gel) and then cleaning and polishing using schotch brite  ;)

Trick is to push out 3 pins from inside. In my case it went very easy (once I was adviced what should I look for here on the forum :))
