Sorry chaps, not going to be able to get this knob off without the risk of breaking something. It is locktited on and I'm concerned that if i try forcefully to remove it, it's gonna get broken, that's if i could even get the screw out. I can still take photos / measurements with it in situ but I'm not sure if that will help much. Let me know if you want me to do that though.

Julie, if you can take measurements and photo’s of the exterior and if sprocket can measure and photograph the part that it fits onto, then we can still have a go at producing a CAD model.

That should be good enough Julie. The hole on the other side can be drilled to suit, if I just model up a solid piece that should be ok 👍

I have a button! Very pleased with this, thank you so much!

I will need to excavate the back of it to take the metal slot, but that's pretty straightforward with a small drill bit.

I imagine loads of people will be after this STL file now...

Nice one, although the print resolution looks a bit on the low side, do you have your own 3D printer? I printed one out myself the other day here at work just to test the stl, it was a bit smoother than the one on the photo. I could have posted it to you but we only have white plastic...

I'm pretty sure the camera is showing it up a bit. I don't have a printer, but a guy in another one of our offices does. I can't tell you what the printer is or what filament it's using - but I'm pretty happy with it so far! I might need a couple more done, so I'll investigate what the resolution is at that point.

We have several printers but the best resolution comes with the finest filament...if i can find a bit of black filament i will print you a few....

Did anyone manage to produce any of these switches in black? I am the proud, new member of the missing horn button club.

Hi all

Sorry for the hijack

Just wondering what material were they originally printed in

I am running some ABS on my home printers and for abs one trick is to use an acetone fume chamber to smooth out the lines

Another good material is ASAx that I am printing yam horn covers in (and battery straps in at the moment)

And for the horn cover after a “soak” in my chamber and paint look Bob on

Fresh print in ASAx

After paint
