Just thinking, did they ever come in orange as standard? I have only ever seen red or yellow. Has it been re sprayed? Is it an F or K?

Yep, they came in metal flake/candy orange. I bought a brand new tank and tailpiece for my F1 from DSS back in 1987, for the princely sum of £28 for the tank and £8 for the tailpiece. Never could get the strips for the seat trim in that colour though!

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]   There you go! Also, the filler flap was always a satin black on the F & F1 models, on the F2 it was tank coloured.

You must have seen the same ad in the bike papers that I did as I bought an F2 seat and tank for my F1 from DSS after the original tank leaked, the price was ridiculous compared to today.

Quite likely Dennis, I also bought  2 complete full exhaust systems for the F1 for £99 each, came with everything, brackets, collars, wedges, gaskets and nuts and bolts, a tank for my CB175K6 in candy green for £10 and lots of little bits and bobs for the F1. They were the days!
