CB750F UK/USA Indicator lamps
« on: May 14, 2019, 09:59:12 AM »
Hi,

On my 1976 CB750F1 will USA spec larger indicator lamps fit directly onto the original UK indicator stems?

Is the splined part of the indicator stem the same size on both UK/USA models?

Regards

Skoti

Yes, the stems are the same diameter and they will fit, the big question is WHY you would want to fit what most people take off?

Yes, that would work. There was a new old stock one on e bay Germany a couple of weeks back, still there, item number 372665836942. Would probably be cheaper than a used one from the states time postage etc is paid.

The one in Germany I'll be a European one, which I believe is the same as the UK one. If you put the part number into CMS website, then view linked machines, it is also fitted to the UK bike as well as the German one, despite the minor difference in part number at the end UK ends 000, German one ends 600, but it says it is the same part on both bikes.

I think the threaded end is the same UK & US but the spline end differs so you can fit either complete unit to the shell

Hello Bryan,

thanks for confirming the indicator spline ends differ, I'm also sure you're aware that the CB750F1 front indicator stems are an integral part of the headlamp bracket.

Best regards

Skoti.

The one on German e bay actually has the Honda part number in the photo ending 000, which is actually the one on CMS website under CB750F1 England, although the e bay listing states it ends 600, which is the German model. I am pretty certain that the e bay one will be for your bike, but you could message the seller and ask him to clarify what the exact part number is that he has for sale, as according to CMS the 600 suffix and 000 suffix are interchangeable. It could of course be that Honda changed the part number and it has not been updated on both the UK and Germany listing of CMS. Anybody on here got an original parts fiche?

Right. Been searching CMS part lists. The French 750F1 uses the 600 headlight frame, same as the German one. The French one uses the same part number indicator bodies as the UK bike, so the one on e bay WILL fit your bike AND UK indicators. Hope that clears it up for you, so the e bay seller, wether it is the frame ending 000 or 600 will fit your bike and indicators.
