Hi, I personally prefer the Classic TT the bikes are just a joy to see, rare and classic bikes that you didn’t even know exist are in abundance and everyone is so happy to talk about there creations, the atmosphere is more relaxed , obviously it’s not as busy as the TT . This year for example there’s a big Kawasaki Triples get together with loads of people putting a special display on Jurby day, hosted by Kawa Triple from Blackburn. SORRY I DO REALISE THAT THIS IS HONDA SOHC FORUM 🛵🛵 but I can’t wait to meet up with them.
I’ve in the past had people sleeping in my shed just to get them outta the rain lol...I also have contacts for accommodation if need be etc etc......😀😀

That sounds like an amazing plan. If you know of anywhere Paul that can be rented out for the Classic TT next year I'd be interested (along with the O/H).
Two years ago I managed to find accommodation in Peel for the TT but couldn't get a ferry unless I went without the bike!
It seems you can get one or the other but the stars never align to get the same dates for the ferry and accommodation . The last time I went to the TT was in 1998, those bikes are now racing in the Classic TT!!
We go every year so it's not a problem anymore as we book the next year when we check out and the ferry almost straight after that. What we did when we first went, and what a lot of people do, is go over this year on a day trip and book your room in Douglas for 2020 then next year when your there you can find a good hotel wherever you want and book for 2021. I think our hotel in Peel will probably have vacancies soon as some of the classic guys will be about 100 years old.

That's a good tip Roy👍.
Could you send me details of the hotel in Peel if you get a chance please. I would rather have someone's recommendation of a hotel so this sounds ideal.
I would love to go again, just need yo persuade the O/H riding her bike from London to Liverpool is a piece of cake......

We go to the Fernleigh in Peel at the very end of the promenade. The landlady is called June and they have a website for the number etc. Doubt you will get a room this year as mostly the same guys every year but maybe worth a try. Tell her Roy and Jim gave you the contact, would be nice to see you over there.

😁😊. The longest trip she has taken so far on her YBR250 is 80 miles 🙄. Going to Liverpool will take some persuasion and will involve shopping, chocolates, jewelry and me doing endless housework 😯!

Take the bikes and the wife in a van it’s probably cheaper on the ferry that way, and if you don’t find a hotel you can sleep in the back of it, lots of people do.....Cheers Dave

Depends what you look like in the jewelry and eating the chocolates will make for shopping for bigger clothes, not sure about housework unless polishing the bike in the living room counts.

😁 😁. At least I don't have to wear heels Bryan, they make changing gear absolutely awful 😯.
