renewing front bearing
« on: May 29, 2019, 05:33:00 PM »
Hello again.

I'm preparing to replace the front wheel bearings. One of the workshop manuals says pack the bearings AND the hub with grease.

The ones I removed seem to be sealed and filling the hub with grease will take an hour. Also there was no grease in the hub when I took it apart.

I used to remove the inward facing seal on wheel bearings and 1/2 pack the centre section with grease, double sided seals on bearings can mean they are only oiled
nice bike,nothing in the bank

If you use aa good quality double sealed bearing you can just fit them as they are and leave the hub cavity dry.
