Headlamp 550

Hi All , has anyone had any experience with the Headlamp glass & reflector unit for a 500/550 that Silver sells  etc does it fit any better than original , will it actually work !. I have a sealed beam unit that works  fine but would like a bit more light than a lighted match on a sunny day  .

The 7inch type is same fit as standard car headlights of round type.

Mini, Landrover, Mk 1 and two Escorts etc all haven't suppliers that offer good alternative units that should give you a choice.

Also the period conversion of Cibié 180mm should be available.

Thx K2 , ive got a Cibie on my 400  so i may go down that route.

I replaced mine with a mini one and a halogen bulb with no issues can’t remember the bulb rating though
