« on: August 13, 2019, 05:27:26 PM »
Hi all new to the group I have got a 750K6 but someone has cut off all fixing lugs and stand bracket so I was thinking a replacement frame would be the best bet , would I only be able to use a k6 or does a K5 or K7 take all of the 6 parts . This is my first 750 but do have cb350 and 400 thanks Ian ps if anyone has a frame for sale please let me know

Welcome to the mad world of the SOHC  ;)

What stand are you on about, side or main ?

You can use any frame from K1 to K6

If you are trying to get it back to original then, you need a K6 frame with the correct numbers  ;)

Just had to do the very same , weld on all the brackets, but mine is a 1969 frame and hard to get hold of so I had to do it, it's turned out well

I'm in the same position with my K6 cafe racer project - one of the previous owners cut centre stand bracket, seat and air filter brackets (the latter I have welded back on as I want standard filtration for ease of set up - after the set up problems with the CR!). Its a pain without a centre stand - why don't they just take the stand off and leave the brackets in place if they don't want the stand! (although I hacked off the bracket on the CR750 - but that's an actual replica). Got to sort the seat brackets now!
