Gas welding/brazing kit for a one off job
« on: November 10, 2019, 08:14:03 PM »
Has anyone in the East Yorkshire area got a gas welding/brazing kit I can borrow for a one off job?
Or does anyone know where I can buy or hire a cheap set for bronze brazing sheet steel?
Cheers. 🤞

Years back when i was in the workshop of a tool hire firm we rented out portapack kits but it wasnt cheap as you had to pay for all the gas plus exchange cost on top of the hire. Probably cheaper to pay a local small shop to do the job

If you are going to use Oxy/Acet at home check your house insurance, you more than likely will not be covered should anything go wrong.

You can get Map/Oxy sets which should do and are usually ok as far as insurance is concerned as its classed as hobby stuff. But check.
