CB750 K0 SWINGING ARM STICKER/DECAL
« on: November 22, 2019, 10:27:29 PM »
I'd be grateful if anyone could help me find a NOS sticker/decal for the swinging arm of my 1970 CB750 K0. It should sit atop the right side arm warning against modifying the exhaust - as if we would. Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but it seems the correct sticker should read "This Honda exhaust system is designed to eliminate excessive noise..........", whilst the items on ebay read: "This Honda exhaust system is a manufactured single unit designed to eliminate excessive noise.............". I have ask DS, but no luck.

Yes I am picky, grateful for any help.

Contact forum member Piki (Diego) he is one of our forum sponsors, Redice. He will make one for you showing whatever you want it to say.
Edit.... Also check that the wording is correct for your USA K0 model as UK and USA bikes may well have different wording.

If its any help, this was the original sticker on my USA K4... piki’s standard replacement had slightly different wording (the “a” is missing)  but he made up a new one for me, shown underneath

Not a great photo unfortunately...

Thank you all, much appreciated.

Nurse Julie, Good point. Mine's a US model and the best reference to hand for correct wording is John Wyatt's book, where page 38 provides a photo (copy attached) of his restored US model that includes 'designed' as opposed to 'manufactured'. Hopefully, the aficionados on this site will be able to confirm. Ideally, a photo from an unrestored 1970 USA model would provide irrefutable evidence.

Rob62, thanks for the photos. The original is interesting, but 4-years on the wording may have been amended. Piki's work looks amazing, I may well seek him out, if correct wording for mine can be established.

Seabeowner and Bryanj, The CB750 in David Silver's museum appears to be a US model. On inquiring about the decal with DSS, I received the following reply, "I can see the warning label you mean because we have one on the CB750K0 in our museum. However, unfortunately, there is no part number for this in the parts book.

Anybody out there with an unrestored 69/70 CB750 USA who could help? [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

If you can wait until next week I can take some photos of an original unrestored bike for you no problem. Any other pics required? (It’s at the back of the garage with restricted access)

Hi James,

Happy to wait until you reach the back of your garage - I may be picky, but patient!

Whilst you are there, perhaps a snap of the oil gallery bolt (right side , top of crankcase, just behind cylinder block). Not sure if this should be chrome, satin or matt?

A long shot, but what do the tool kit points file and feeler gauges look like?

Waiting - Out.

Hello piki. Its ok, i was only referring back to your original sticker before you added the missing “a”... you sent me a perfectly good sticker last year..every thing is fine, thanks 👍
