K1 baffle - binding wire?
« on: December 04, 2019, 12:27:10 PM »
This may well be a numpty question, but I've bought a new K1 baffle from DS and the gauze is just loose round the tube, can someone please advise what gauge binding wire to use or are these just fitted loose?

Thanks,
Andrew

Nothings numpty if you aint sure. If its genuine in a parts bag i would suspect no wire, if pattern who knows.
If you must wrap it i dont think gauge of wire would matter

I'd message them andrew and see if they have 0.8mm/1mm diameter stainless wire. Or just search on ebay for other sellers.

Demon Tweeks and other sellers of wadding say that it expands into the space when used. They sell the wadding but don't sell any kind of binding wire so maybe not required?

I used SS flower arrangers wire (I don't flower arrange before you ask - it was my mums!) when I adapted the same baffles into the CR Rep race exhausts
