SECURITY.... THE LINCOLNSHIRE WAY
« on: January 01, 2020, 07:11:09 PM »
We went for a very, very long walk with the dogs today, about 10 miles. In the middle of nowhere, we found this security device..... OK, it's on a gate but gave me a good idea on how to secure the bikes when out and about. This is typical Lincolnshire farmer logic, if you haven't got a chain long enough, then a padlock or two or 12, will do the job just fine 🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣

My neighbour is a farmer I may have to show him that pic.
I leave a trailer in one of his feilds and the last time I went down there there was so much slack in the chain I just lifted it over the post  ::)

Sometimes farmers do this because they are selling the fishing rights for some of their waters, instead of buying 1 lock with multiple keys they buy multiple locks and each angler gets a key for one lock, you only need to unlock one lock to gain access so it makes sense. Plus if the angler doesn't pay the yearly fee he can just remove that lock which you couldn't do with a keyed alike lock.

That’s far too sensible Ken. I prefer Julie’s take on it
