Bye-bye to the EU
« on: January 31, 2020, 02:10:03 PM »
Well, at 11pm tonight it'll be a new beginning for the UK, almost.....

This sums it up nicely I think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2zJ8vaB5jo

It's going to be a mixed bag, the Brexiteers will celebrate whilst the Remainers will be feeling down in the dumps.  As for me, I might have a wee dram at 11pm tonight. Whatever you might think of Boris and Co. he's stuck to his guns and got us out of the EU.   I do hope the country will unite once again, but I appreciate that won't happen overnight.
Now where did I put that 10mm socket?

And I already worry how this will affect any spares orders from David Silver and alike...  :-\

I'm going to have a party to celebrate... all by myself. Graham does not know what Brixit is / was and doesn't know who Boris Johnson is either. Graham lives in his own little world.... a world which does not include anything that does not concern him or affect him personally.

I was tempted to warn everyone off but thought I’d let it run for a while. Nobody is going to change anyone’s views whatever they post so it’s really a waste of time.

The video was reasonably entertaining though I wonder whether he will do another for 31st December entitled “oh shit no trade deal…”

Agree 100% Phil. I think our friendships with our forum members who live in other countries is stronger than any current day political division and long may our friendships continue. ☺️

Well said Julie, we may be leaving the EU, but we aren't leaving Europe.
Now where did I put that 10mm socket?

Well I have had a British 28 day matured steak with local chestnut mushrooms in Isle of White garlic and butter, Maris Piper spuds from the farm down the road and a heap of British peas. Washed down with some Bad to the Bone ale from the Gun Dog Brewery. Cheers
Keep smiling it makes the management nervous.

We are still friends with all our European mates.

It's the pigs in the Brussels troughs we have fallen out of love with.

I would simply say whatever ones opinion on this, it has split the country down the middle and caused lasting damage to friendships - even families...

I truly hope the country come together but would not hold my breath.

One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

I‘m wondering when parcel shipping cost to UK will raise to ROW level on first step. Tomorrow?

Than when comes import VAT plus customs duty, 01.01.2021?

cheers, Uli
