Cb400/4 fork legs.
« on: March 22, 2020, 04:34:52 PM »
Hi all! Would anyone know if the fork legs of the cl360 and the cb400 4 are one and the same thing?
New stanchions for my project 400/4 are the best part of £150 and I can get a useable set of cl360 fork legs for under  £100. I'm working to a budget on this one, management is happy to let me keep a project ticking over in the garage as long don't use the decorating/soft furnishings budget.

The 400/4 and CL250/360  stanchions are the same part number  51411-369-000 Early CL's were drum brake though.

One thing to watch are the fork legs for the CJ250/CJ360 are different as they are longer than the 400/4 CB250/360G5. Also the swinging arm on the CJ is longer.

Just checked though and CJ stanchion is the same as the 400/4 CB250/360G5 ..must be a longer alloy bottom (black coated too on the CJ's)

Thank you for the rapid response, that's good to know, I would be rebuilding them using my existing fork lowers anyway (as they've cleaned up reasonably well) . Many thanks AshimotoK0!
