Nice
I was also really pleased with the set I got from him and he honoured the £95 trade in on my old set with no hassle

Problem is you have to pay £20 to post them to him so in effect you are getting £75 for them.
You are better off putting them on ebay  ;)

Upside though is you can send carbs without moth eaten alloy into which main jets fit and I assume get the same set back returned.. Lots of the 500 carbs I have seen look great from the outside but those tubes that are part of the castings look horrid.

Ash,
Agree on buying them but not the selling don't think I have seen a decent set for the 400/4 go for less than £130 and the buyer pays the postage  :D ;)

Trouble is everyone goes to eBay .... I bought a really nice set of 400F carbs at an autojumble last year .. good honest carbs been off bike for yonks are drained of fuel and dry stored so no nasty corrosion inside the float bowls ..guy wanted £50 but took £45.. basically typical autojumble price on Honda 4 carbs = £50 .... eBay £100 plus,  as you say. At least at an autojumble you can have a peek inside and walk away if they are crap internally.. lots of eBay ones they are no images of internals so you could be buying a load of trouble. .. Rule No.1 of autojumbling ... always take a Vessel No.2 JIS driver with you if looking for carbs.

Ash,
My point is if your carbs are half decent and your honest you can show pics of the internals and they will go for over £100 which means a set from Gerben will cost you £195 PLUS POST ;)

Just remember that if Gerben doesn't get carbs in exchange he will eventually run out of spare parts to replace damaged or corroded parts. Then he'll have to buy parts at full market rate and his prices will have to go up accordingly. 😕
