Damaged carb
« on: February 06, 2020, 08:42:46 PM »
Hi all, stripped the carbs (657A LB designation) today to find that no1 was badly damaged with a crack on the air side. As soon as I touched it off it came in my hand   :(   Could anybody tell me if no1 is the same as no3. Also my bike being a K3 is this carb the same as K1-K6, I have seen a few on Ebay but they look pretty rough but once vapour blasted and cleaned should look okay. Anybody got a spare they don't need and would like to be free of or could recommend the best place to source a new or used body. Or would the body still be useable with this piece missing as the rubber still clamps securely. See picture.

Number 1 and number 3 are different. You will need a number 1 from a CB750 K1 to K6 or a F1  ;)

Thanks Trigger, are all the carbs the same for the K1-K6 with different jetting as all the ones on eBay are 064A and mine are 657A.

All are the same, even if you buy another set they will need a good clean and setting up so, change the jets from your damaged one  ;)

Hi Bryanj, thanks I would be interested if you still have them let me know as I would prefer to buy from a member rather than Ebay.

I have had a quick look and cant put my hands on them, i may have binned them as i dont do 750's and they were very incomplete, not even on the mounting plate. I will keep an eye out just in case tho.
