Just found this site on the internet while looking for copper cored HT cable, The Green Spark Plug Company, based in cheshire, they supply Plugs, HT cable, Spark plug caps, could be  useful, and the prices look reasonable. Maybe already known, but thought it was worth a mention.

well after seeing SteveD,s description on how to replace coil leads i hunted around for copper core and found some < narva HT single core 7mm -1.13mmsq- copper core > at $5 a metre wasnt expensive seems to have the same amount of strands as original leads but didnt seem to be as thick wire as original hope it is ok to use as replacement as two of my leads seemed to be broken inside

For the CB750 that has a suggested NGK spark plug DR8ESL or the D8EA, I found that the gold paladium plug model D8EV made the engine far more responsive and more economical.

Might I also suggest that the long straight NGK plug caps are used in the #2 and #3 positions on the 550 and 750 SOHC models. This helps greatly in wet weather.

Be aware that the internal resistor on NGK plug caps can go open circuit. They should read 5000 ohms using a multimeter, but if they are faulty they cause numerous ignition problems like loss of power below 3000rpm,difficult to start, breakdown of the bakelite.
