CB650 frame number
« on: April 16, 2009, 01:46:08 AM »
Hi all, ive been trying to fine the year and manufacture of my honda, the frame number is: RC032000310
now i have looked about but all i could find was numbers only going back as far as RC032002472 == 1979
does this mean my honda is realy a 1978 model, one of the first to be made??
if some1 could help, that would be great.
thanks Cosky

Probably not as the higher number is in the US ID book and all that means is that is the lowest number into USA. If you want to be 100% certain it will cost you about

The US ID book gives first year as 79 and I cant remember if they were available in 78 in UK, Yes its an early one, possibly even first day of production so if the 650 ever becomes"Iconic" yes it would be worth more than any other if its in 100% standard trim and mint----just not yet in my opinion

Yes, that's early.

Mine is number 32002581, first registered in UK on 11th April 1979, so yours at 32000310 is well before it.

!!not ever!!
well that totally F%#ked that idea as being standard, LOL far from it, i bet its worth more as it is now than it was a stocker, but to me its my honda and theres not another one like it on this planet, so it is a one off  ;D  8)
i designed and built it in 1986, and have been upgrading over the years, every thing is a one off, you could call it a rolling work of art, my expression of what the japs should have built ( NOT )    ;D hahahahaahaa  ;D

LIke it, or Hate it I dont give a shit  8)

I agree with youre attitude that what you want is great and stuff the world, unfortunately as for value you have to find at least 2 other people who think EXACTLY the same as you so they have to fight over it.

When in the trade we would have people who had spent 100's
