Both my mates voluntarily gave up their licenses because they had been told it would be harder to get them back if they were revoked by the DVLA.
I have a friend who voluntarily surrendered his licence on doctor's advice. It was re - instated entirely without fuss and, (with supporting medical evidence) rather earlier than he had originally expected. I hope that you are able to resume riding soon!
Great looking bikes Andrew. I'm glad I had my sunglasses on when I opened the image 😎.Good luck getting your licence back.
Looking lovely Andrew.

Z question. Do Z forums have similar discussions about show bikes, Pre-production models, K0 (or A0), US vs UK specs etc?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
if someone types in Honda it appears in a post as Hodna.

Many of Z1 OC members are pretty hard core about riding to rallies (home and abroad) and camping out etc and there's a section of the membership that are well into modifying their Zeds. Like this forum there is some excellent contributions on the technical issues and troubleshooting. The club used to produce a great quarterly magazine but that has now become an annual Yearbook which is high quality in production and content. Occasionally personal fall outs happen and left to run until the Mods feel they need to step in - new members are welcomed and flaming is not tolerated. The club always has a well turned out stand at Stafford in October and I've shown my Z900 once in 2017 as below, it's a very tidy bike but not really a show bike (and never will be) but it was owned for 28 years by a founder member of the club (Phil Churchett) who sadly passed away from MND in 2010 and has a special place in the club.Interestingly and unlike this forum, the Z1 OC forum is generally less tolerant of other makes of bikes, particularly Hondas and Harleys. Silly I know, but if someone types in Honda it appears in a post as Hodna. In all it's a great club with a strong membership, regular local group rideouts/rallies and good exposure on Facebook.Sorry for the photo overload:
Andrew, sorry to highjack the thread but I used to have a Z1B and have my original purchase receipt from Onger Motorcycles and a full hand written service/parts history from the bike that a present owner would surely like for his file I'm sure. Its no good to me but don't want throw the file away.Tthe bike has been off the road since 2009 but may be owned by A Z1 forum member. Don't know if you could post it on the forum?
Reg is JMT952P and pic attached (please excuse the platform shoes!)Thanks Andrew
