centre stand refit

had some fun fittting this today

had it put on fine so i thought, then noticed the u shape hangar was cutting into my newly powder coated stand aaarghhh!

anyway have that sorted , centre stand is on and works fine can touch up the scratch

question if you look at pics there is a little black plate with 3 holes in it , have i fitted this correct and can some remind what this does

According to the parts book that plate should be underneath oh the RH side and is to hold the carb drains etc

cheers bryan will move it down to bottom of bolt,

hmmm one hole is much bigger than the other does it show how many drain tubes goes down each hole

If you are still reading this - thanks for postng the image. I'm restoring a 550F1 and couldn't remember how to fit the spring - even thought I'd power-coated the half-moon bracket - doh!

Mike I think all the carb drains go through the big hole, the small hole is for the battery overflow if I recall correctly
Love the 500 and 550 have a 500 called Lazarus under restoration

Mike for what it's worth, why don't you get the nuts and bolts re-zinced seeing you've a new coat on the frame, it's not expensive and it'll make it look much better?

I'm restoring a 500 and had plenty of stuff rezinced and it looks like new.

Mike I'm not sure if your spring and C thing is black or painted, here's mine re-zinced, certainly get the nuts and bolts done.
