Motty Introduction
« on: May 01, 2020, 09:26:18 AM »
Hi Guys

I have just joined your Forum.
I don't actually have a SOHC Honda, but whilst we are in lockdown I have been enjoying reading your adventures with your bikes, particularly the Restorations.
I currently have a 1974 RD350 and a 1986 Guzzi V35/3.
I'm not sure I will have much to add to your threads, but I will certainly chip in when I can.
Stay safe out there

They have two wheels so that will do me. I don’t think there is a better forum for support in the technical area in the UK. I’m sure you will weaken and buy one soon.
Keep smiling it makes the management nervous.

Welcome to the forum Motty.

You could always participate in a "once removed" style with a Benelli 500/4 as they copied the Honda to make the engine. :) very nice bike too.

welcome.  I liked my old RD, back wheel used to skip about if I accelerated too hard out of corners, great fun.

Welcome to the forum Motty. Is the V35 the Imola? I really liked the V50 Monza, a poor man's Le-Mans.

No it's not a Imola, it's the smaller cousin to the four valve V75. I will tack a photo up so you can see it.
I brought it way back in 1988 when I was much younger, it was used for quite a few years, it then spent quite a lot of years residing in the back of various garages whilst the family grew up and house purchases were paid for. Happily it is now back on the road (well not during the current crisis)

Thank you very much for the warm welcome, I have already posted a photo of the Guzzi, I will also pop one up of the RD.
If you dislike non standard older bikes, please look away, it is utterly gorgeous in my eyes.

Bet that sounds as nice as it looks. Welcome.
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

Hi motty. I thought your bike looked familiar... could this be the same one? Apologies for the poor quality of the photo’s. These were taken probably ten years ago....
