For the original picture posted, I never like front mudguards that don't fit the wheel circumference.  If I owned it I'd kick myself everytime walking toward it for not doing it properly.

Not keen on the rear and seat either,  but it overall has a good stance to it which makes it attractive.  Kinda mini flat tracker demeanour to it without being poncy.

As for a different take on 750, the above period body kits look interesting.

I've been caned a few times for building this a few years ago, in my defence it was going to be broken for parts so I think I saved it. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Lots of people building bikes like this now....and the only thing I don;t like about that is the side number plate :)

Looks like a Kawasaki Ltd tank.... but it all blends together nicely
CB750F2 - in pieces
CB900F Hornet - the daily transport

Yes the number plate was a compromise but there was no room under the seat unless it was at such an angle only low flying aircraft could see it, funnily enough one of the comments I most remember was someone saying that as soon as I hit a bump "that ugly seat will be ripped off by the back wheel", that was 5 years ago and the photo above was taken last week. As my current project is a tracker there is a lot more room for the plate but it's still at a steepish angle.

I don't mind a side plate, as long as it is not on a original bike  ;)

Mine is yellow and black too, it was black and silver but I got stopped by the Rozzers and ordered to change it, the plate I'm using on the tracker is the original off the Cafe racer as the tracker is a Jap import and hasn't got a number yet, speaking of Rozzers anyone else still working and going in on the bike ? I've been stopped twice so far on my R1 going to or from work but never been stopped in the car, coincidence or anti-bike ?  I have work travel documents but they still gave me the 3rd degree.

We have never been stopped for either smaller than legal and black / silver are legal as long as bike registered as Historic. Not been stopped whilst out riding doing chores etc recently.

Mine is registered historic but the Cop told me it was only pre 1973 which could have black/silver plates.

That just shows what the police don't know then. It used to be pre 73 but is now any vehicle registered as historic. That is a rolling thing as well so as soon as any vehicle qualifies for Historic status and you get it changed to historic at DVLA, you can have a black/ silver plate.
