CB400 F1 and F2
« on: May 30, 2009, 08:59:29 AM »
A question for all our CB400 experts...

Was there any difference between the F1 and F2 models other than cosmetic details such as the tank colour and decals?

I've been asked this question by someone who thinks that the F2 had higher bars and that the footrests had been moved forward to give a more upright riding position.

I seem to remember that the only differences were cosmetic as the riding position was said to be very good.

I may be wrong, however, so I thought I'd ask the experts...

Dave, I think the bars and footrest changes was a US model variation to try and bump up sales just before the model got the axe!

Thanks for that Dave. I had a feeling it was for the US market.

The 400f f2 has a speedo face with a KPH scale on the face in green inside the MPH calibrations. As far as I'm aware machines exported to the U.S. did not have that type fitted.
