That's really helpful. The bike is a rolling chassis now so the last method will probably be the one I go for. Thanks again. Kind regards. Phil

I would do it the way James has said, by lowering the frame on the engine. This is the only way that you can guarantee  that you will not damage the paint  ;)

I found that If you first remove the cam box breather cover the motor fits in easier.
Also you're probably less likely to damage the frame paint.
