Nope, use all the original Honda brass except maybe the float needle valves. Most of the aftermarket kits are known to have differences to original

Thanks, by Just looking you can see the taper is different, there is no needle tube in the kit either, I will have to get In touch with silvers see what they say  >:(

Interesteing to see what DSS says - I bought the Keyster repair kits (marked KH-0147A and for CB400F) last week and the needles are also all marked D22.
I didn't check the markings on the ones already in the carbs though.
I haven't used them yet as I just really needed the float valve bits initially (might need more work once bike runs a bit but fingers crossed).

It seems odd that nobody can make aftermarket parts like this very well - surely they aren't particularly advanced manufacturing processes etc.

Cheers,
Andy

The PCRK CB400F carburettor kits are an aftermarket kit so this may explain the difference in engraving.

We are not aware of  an issue with the kits and  have been supplying the same kits for many years.

I got the same answer when i bought 4 float needles for a CBX 550 where there is no float adjustment and 1 supplied needle was visibly longer, even though same number on packet, and was permanently closed.

Start a new CBX550 thread and I’m sure they’ll pop up.
