Has anyone on this forum had to use a series of ratchet straps and levers to fit a replacement set of exhausts which are supposedly been designed and manufactured to fit your particular model.  >:( >:( >:( I suspect I’m not the only one, very annoying to fit to a newly painted frame without damaging or chipping. These pipes were purchased a few year ago I’m hoping that they are better now.

I've just fitted a set to my 78 550 and was worried TBH ... as it was they were a perfect fit and it took no time at all with no wrangling to speak of

Hi Simon, that’s reassuring to know, when I purchased mine I think it was just at the start of re- production as I had waited a number of years to get a set. Thanks for reply!
