What a great sound, reminds me of the days listening to my old TT record with the Honda sixes on. And Valentino Rossi as a bonus as well.

Me too. My first visit to the TT I was treated to the sound of 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 cylinder bikes and of course the smell of Castrol R.

Similar here,  taken to road races by my father from too young to remember,  but the indoctrination process started there I believe  ;D

Quite intoxicating sound,  aren't they.

https://youtu.be/f410HRvyOjw this one is so good too as no music and the 500-3 MV the one I consciously remember and identify as the scource of infatuation  ;D it's that last gear change right at the end of clip that completes it so well.

The Mazda engine is a rotory multi.  Each rotor firing 3 times per revolution,  and 4 rotor chambers built onto one crank,  making effectively 24 cylinder (equivalence of 4 strokes) sound pulse running at about 10,500 rpm which makes it such a unique sound.

Probably been played a thousand times before... but this sound takes some beating  8)
When he accelerates down the back straight towards the camera with the exhaust note echoing off the trees.....what must the regulars at the IOM have thought the first time they heard those Hondas.
