First trip to Squires Cafe - movie
« on: July 05, 2020, 08:32:55 AM »
Yesterday was the first opportunity to visit the famous Squires Cafe in North Yorks, its only a 15 min ride for me.... Quite a few there but not anywhere as busy as it can get for obvious reasons. The cafe has a one-way system in operation inside so its as safe as can be to get a coffee  8)... I just like to walk round the carpark admiring all the bikes...

Nice vid.   I've heard the coffee is as crap as ever there though.
Now where did I put that 10mm socket?

I like the coffee from squires  :) although some of the chipped mugs could do with replacing...

It was OK when the old Squires in Sherburn itself was on the go back in the 70's, but you are the 1st person I've heard who says they like the coffee they offer now.  I used to live in Selby, so it was regular haunt for me back then, but since I moved to the coast I find Seaways at Fridaythorpe to be a much nicer place for food and drink. Obviously it's much closer for me too.  I do agree though, Squires is a great place to just go and look around at the bikes that turn up.

I also like Seaways and the other little log cabin cafe just down the road from there.... both good biker cafes..... as for the coffee, spoon of freeze dried + hot frothy milk, what can possibly go wrong  ;D

The price went up and the mugs got smaller all at the same time as well.  :(
