CB250 'Dream' JDM
« on: July 09, 2020, 11:13:49 AM »
Just getting my CB250 JDM 'Dream' paintwork ready for the local paint guy (Honda Black Metallic paint colour ... exactly the  same as the '67 CD175A sloper UK model).
Of all of my bike restorations this is the one that's dearest to my heart. It's been a bl**dy long 5 year slog to get all of the rare pars for it and it would have been nigh on impossible without the help of my 'Man in Japan' Ex-pat brummie Chris Jeavons.

A lot of Honda enthusiasts are not aware of this model as it was a Far East only model.

I recently found this excellent Youtube 'walkaround' video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHjTZNq-t5Q

For anyone restoring a metallic black CD175A sloper I found that nobody had a match for this 'XE' code colour... so I sent a NOS 175 part to RS Bikepaints and they now have a match (my own sloper 175 is 'Neptune Blue' metallic which they have stocked for ages). It's a really dark grey with ultra fine metallic particles in it.
