Wires for horn

I went to fit the new horn I got from DSS today, to replace the semi-functioning non original snail thing I've got now. Oh great...the new horn has fittings for two wires, the snail has only one brown wire. Where can I get these wires, I can't find any and also how to fit them.

The wires should be a Light green from the horn button and a Black one supplying 12v power.

Not if its a later type which has a wire powered by the switch and a loop to earth from the other contact. You need to check if the wire you have is connected to earth when button pushed or has +ve 12v when button pushed

Do you mean a later model (mine is a 1978 F2) or later horn?

Later model, horns are all the same

Now, my after market horn I have to replace only has one 'bayonet' on it, the replacement has two. My switch gear is new stuff from DSS.

I have a 1978 F2. Horn on mine has 2 terminals. One goes to horn switch (Light Green on mine), maybe brown on yours and other goes to earth as Bryanj says. I'd check if your brown goes live when switch is pushed.

With only one terminal it would suggest that the horn earthed through the body, BUT this is only an educated guess.
If you don't have a multimeter to test for voltage connect a bulb test light between the wire you have and a decent earth, if the bulb lights when you press the button (with the ignition on!) you need to make a small lead to connect between a spade and a mounting bolt
