He does say “not a rebuild or restoration” and then goes on to list the extensive restored and new parts …

Alas with the threat of redundancy I can’t even think about it, however with the time spent on SORN would the piston rings and bore not require attention before using? I guess an assessment could be done with a good camera through the spark plug holes.
Keep smiling it makes the management nervous.

I wouldn't ride or drive a vehicle with tyres that are 40 years old - dangerous in my view. We replaced all four tyres on one of our cars as they were 14 years old with 2/3rds of the tread remaining so MoT advice was to replace them.

Interestingly the Tyre Depot intentionally damaged the side walls after changing them to prevent them being re-sold - they were Pirelli Zero Rossos I was gutted.

Tyres look like Avon Roadrunners, so probably not original factory fitment.

Just looked at my original Honda CB500 sales brochure, the front tyre fitment is a Bridgestone ribbed type.
So probably not original tyres on the ebay CB500.

I have an old Roadrunner in my garage, looks just like the one on the ebay bike complete with centre line.

You can still buy them new for classic racing:-

Hi Bryan,

saw your previous answer and then I checked the ebay listing details, the seller says the CB500 came to him fitted with Avon Roadrunners.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1975-Honda-CB500-Four-K1-UK-model-7-134-miles-Original-Same-owner-for-44-years/154052740855

But sorry because I was mistaken in thinking that it was suggested on this forum thread that they were the original tyres fitted by the factory, which of course they are not.

All the best
