rear suspension "bottoming " out?
« on: August 31, 2020, 07:01:59 PM »
Of late I've noticed that due to Sussex poor roads that in certain situations the rear suspension appears to bottom out when riding over a big dip in the road. The suspension is set at it's hardest and from my checks the chain appears to be correctly adjusted. The shocks came with the bike and I've had it 13 years or so although they are not standard, the name on them is Oxon. Cornering and handling is fine , any thoughts? I know it's post lock down but I haven't put on that much weight!

Oxon were/are really low end shocks that did a fair job, they probably need replacing, Tec shocks are quite good and not silly prices if you are thinking of changing them, i have them on my Zthou and have used them on a couple of XS 650's.

Cheers Kevski,
Can't find Tec shocks online anymore do you have a link? Have used them before for other bits but no trace of them now-confusing!
