Shortening brake cable
« on: September 20, 2020, 06:18:07 PM »
I need to shorten the front brake cable for my Black Bomber by 110mm at the lever end. Does anyone know a reliable place to get this done either close to Blackpool or with a reliable mail service. Cheers.

To be honest you would be better buying a new length of inner bowdenb cable and new nipples to solder on

It's a brand new cable Bryan. Just cannot get anything but a USA spec cable which is too long for the lower UK handledars.

www.venhill.co.uk

If they can't help you should be able to buy the stuff to make your own up from other suppliers.

Try these guys at wezmoto, they can make up anything you need and lengths, I had them make up a set when I did super bike conversion on my VTR. Top quality and were cheaper than others. Just give them a bell or email them. Link below

Thanks for that. I have already ordered the cable from Venhills. I have used Wezmoto before for braided hoses and they gave a very good service, unfortunately I had no idea they did cables. I think they need to update their website.
